Uhuru: The Podcast & Blog

Uhuru Talks – Melanin Infused Commentary

Welcome to the Uhuru Blog!
Uhuru is a blog and podcast created by Jennifer Sadler to discuss marketing, branding, and communications through the lens of a black professional in the industry. Black people represent a mere 5% of the marketing industry, a number that needs far more representation. Her podcast includes interviews with black marketing professionals and commentary on everything from the positioning of political figures to the newest ad campaign for a popular fashion brand – we break down barriers and uplift voices.
Jennifer shares a variety of content related to marketing or her personal journey on this blog, so please feel free to share any articles or podcast episodes!
The name Uhuru is from the highest peak of Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa.
You can donate to Uhuru Talks to help fund the podcast and reach more audiences. Half of every dollar collected goes into a fund to provide scholarships for black students who are pursuing marketing and advertising related degrees. The other half goes into a fund to support travel so that we can continue to do podcasts.
